Elves in Sector 1 on Alert

Elves,

The test flights of Santa’s sleigh will be wrapping up in Sector 5 this week and heading for “an extended period in the Pacific region”.

That’s us – or at least mostly us. I suppose it’s possible the sleigh could be on the fringes of Sector 2 at times.

Doesn’t matter. We’ll be in the spotlight.

My source in Flight Command does not say exactly where the test flights will be going. However, in talking with another elf I know who has contact with the North Pole Navy, I know ships of the navy are already headed towards Guam, Japan and the Philippines. I also heard one of the ships assigned to the Indian Ocean is transferring towards Australia and New Zealand waters.

So it looks like a lot of activity is headed our way for the next few weeks in September.

Also, just so you know, I’m looking to organize a chat with the other elf supervisors. Just giving you a heads up for now. If it is going to happen I’d like to do it around the middle of the month.

We’ll keep you posted.

Let’s Rock, Sector 1

Hello from our base in Fiji! Our tracking center here in Nadi is now fully operational and we’re tracking both the test flights of Santa’s sleigh as well as movements of the North Pole Navy.

We get a lot of questions about the North Pole Navy. Considering our sector is the one with the most beaches and the most shorelines against oceans it is natural the North Pole Navy is most active in our areas.

We are noting a lot of changes this year in many areas of the sector.

So we will want a lot of fresh reports this year in advance of Santa’s flight.

For those trackers out there who want to get started sending in reports, we’re going to start with weather reports and general property updates. The report calls will grow over time.

So, to begin, plan on doing the following:

1. Weather reports on Tuesdays. Try to include a five-day forecast for your area. This will change come December, but for now this will be the most helpful.

2. Local Christmas Reports will be pretty important each year. Please try to send in one of the these reports every Sunday if you can. They will seem kind of silly early on but these reports give us good information as the season goes on. There is value in doing this one every week.

That’s it for now, guys!

Regional Tracking Center for Sector 1

North Pole Flight Command has just announced the location of the Regional Tracking Center for Sector 1. It will be located in Fiji this year.

For more details, please see the announcement at the North Pole Flight Command website.

Each sector features a regional tracking center staffed by an Elf Supervisor and elves from Flight Command who coordinate activities in advance and during Santa’s flight. Instructions for tracker elves in each sector come from the regional tracking center who works with Flight Command at the North Pole.

The announcement today indicates it will be operational by September first.

As Christmas-in-July continues similar announcements from Flight Command are expected for each Sector.

Report Form for Finding Santa

As we promised earlier last week we now have activated a report form so that tracker elves can report possible sightings of Santa.

Finding Santa

This report is a little different. It goes straight to the Finding Santa Trask Force at North Pole Flight Command.

When you send in information via this form it gets added to the database of other information recently gathered about Santa’s possible location.

This allows analysts to compare all the information.

With this mass amount of information, Elf Roger Star, Elf Agent X and other task force leaders can move elf assets from the North Pole Sleigh Fleet, the North Pole Navy, and Flight Command Scout teams to different locations.

We recognize that these reports are mostly tips. Most will likely not pan out. However, all it takes is one good report to move us closer to finding Santa.

We hope you will use this report form frequently. There are NO bad reports!

The News Department will be providing updates at least weekly. Be sure to follow breaking developments at SantaUpdate.com, NorthPoleFlightCommand.com and right here on SantaTrackers.net for ongoing information.

Thank you.

Mrs. Claus Stands in for Santa

Mrs. Claus has taken charge in the absence of Santa Claus while he goes on walkabout. News of Santa’s travels broke at SantaUpdate.com yesterday.

As noted at North Pole Flight Command this morning, Mrs. Claus has set up office at Santa’s Workshop and chosen Elf Trixie to be her Chief of Staff while Santa is gone.

For the Elf Community at SantaTrackers.net, Elf Trixie says that Mrs. Claus will be meeting with Elf Roger Star this next week for an update on the various projects already in progress for the tracker elf community.

As for Elf Trixie, I am her boss in her regular duties, and while serving Mrs. Claus as Chief of Staff I have been told that Trixie will continue in her regular reporting duties for North Pole News and here at SantaTrackers.net.

We have all been told that even though Santa will be absent for a while we can expect things to carry on normally.

Stand Down, Elves

It’s time. The Bedtime Advisories are telling us and now Flight Command is tell us. Time for elves in Sector 1 to stand down.

Thank you, friends. It appears things are going well for Santa in Sector 1. Let’s now get ready for him in our own homes.

Merry Christmas to each of you.

I will be posting a recap for our Sector after Santa returns to the North Pole.

One Last Weather Update

This sounds like the final report request for our sector tonight from Flight Command. Naturally, it’s about the weather. Let’s help them out with the latest:

Watch for Bedtime Advisories

It’s getting later here, gang. Bedtime Advisories are posted at NorthPoleFlightCommand.com. You might want to start watching for them. Not long after Santa launches we expect to see them roll out for our Sector.

Ground Report Needed

We must be getting closer to delivery in our sector. Flight Command wants a fresh look at things on the ground:

This is very important. We need to know where you are seeing what you are reporting.
What do you see on the ground that might be a problem for Santa?

Santa Launches in 9 Hours

Santa launches in just 9 hours. For us in Sector 1, that actually happens at a decent time – in the middle of our evening or late afternoon. In a lot of sectors it is happening late at night or early in the morning. In this case, we’re the lucky ones.

I know it feels like a long time at this point. But we have waited this long, what’s a little longer?

That being said, I think it would be awesome to start sending some new Elfie Selfies to us in the Regional Tracking Center. I want to put your pictures up so elves working here can be reminded of who got us here! No rush on this, I know it’s still fairly early in the morning for some of you.

Sector 1 Now in the Red Zone

Hi elves and Happy Christmas Eve. It’s dark, it’s early but it’s also officially Christmas Eve! We are in the RED ZONE. (That’s the technical term)

Now, here are the facts at this early hour:

  1. Santa is HOURS from launching still.
  2. We are HOURS away from hanging our stockings.

That means we have time to be organized. I suggest you make a plan of WHEN you’re going to check for direction here. I suggest you make a plan for KEEPING KRINGLE RADIO on at all times.

And I suggest you chug a lot of eggnog.

That is all.

PS – have a question for Flight Command? Send it in!
