Hello from our base in Fiji! Our tracking center here in Nadi is now fully operational and we’re tracking both the test flights of Santa’s sleigh as well as movements of the North Pole Navy.
We get a lot of questions about the North Pole Navy. Considering our sector is the one with the most beaches and the most shorelines against oceans it is natural the North Pole Navy is most active in our areas.
We are noting a lot of changes this year in many areas of the sector.
So we will want a lot of fresh reports this year in advance of Santa’s flight.
For those trackers out there who want to get started sending in reports, we’re going to start with weather reports and general property updates. The report calls will grow over time.
So, to begin, plan on doing the following:
1. Weather reports on Tuesdays. Try to include a five-day forecast for your area. This will change come December, but for now this will be the most helpful.
2. Local Christmas Reports will be pretty important each year. Please try to send in one of the these reports every Sunday if you can. They will seem kind of silly early on but these reports give us good information as the season goes on. There is value in doing this one every week.
That’s it for now, guys!
Thank you, Elf Randi. Okay, our supervisor needs the reports. I have some questions for you. When do we send the weather reports? It’s already Tuesday here, so should I send it today? Do you need to know about the weather of the beaches and shorelines against the ocean for the Navy? I live around the mountains, so should I send the report of the nearest towns with beaches? Do you compare both the new reports and the old reports we sent last year, or don’t you? Can we get points for these reports too? If so, I hope you can give points to us every time, so I can check if my writing is good or needs to change the ways for you. Thank you!
Elf Ulan, thank you for your questions. They are excellent. First of all, we know that if an elf is here now they will be sending in reports now as well as closer to when Santa flies. These active elves and their reports of any kind are very valuable to us for several reasons. They tell us where you are and all that you report helps build a strong database of information for your area. We only need weather reports for where you are – not other parts of the sector where you do not live. So we appreciate the concern for the Navy, for example, but this is all about Santa and where he will be going. Second of all, points for reports will be included in your annual review, not for each individual report. There’s just too much involved with us trying to do that. Our focus is the quality of the report first, not the quantity and we want elves to focus on that instead of points. That being said, the overall quality will come as you think as Santa thinks when you write your reports, no matter what kind of report that is. YOU, Elf Ulan, gave perhaps the best reports in the Sector last year and what you say means a great deal to us. You may not know this but your reports from last year have been used in elf training in our new regional tracker center here in Fiji this year. Excellent reports, just like your questions.
Thank you so much, Elf Randi! I really appreciate your polite response. You made me relieved and connected to motivation a lot! Okay, I’ll send the weather reports about my area from next. ^^ I’m a very happy, lucky elf to hear that from you. I hope other elves in the Sector also could receive your words or something from you for their jobs instead of points. Your words make us stronger motivation, and I believe Sector 1 can be one with you and more excellent work together this year for Santa! I’m glad my reports were used for the training, but I need to review what I wrote, lol. Thank you, I’ll try my best too! XD
