Santa Has Launched from the North Pole
Santa has launched from the North Pole and is on his way to Sector 1. We should see even faster news updates coming from this point forward.

Fellow elves – Sector 1 just entered the Red Zone. It is now past midnight on December 24th in the far eastern time zones in our sector. We’re on the clock.
No new reports are needed at this time. But keep checking back.
The Red Zone means that we are on active duty. While Santa has NOT yet launched from the North Pole (that will not happen for another 20 hours or so) there is a LOT of activity at the North Pole that will affect our sector.
Thousands of sleighs will be launch. The North Pole Navy will be activated. We already have field tracker elves in position and North Pole Radio News personnel are also here.
In fact, the Tracking Santa Around the World live radio broadcast has begun, indicating that new coverage of worldwide activity of the Santa effort has kicked in.
When Santa launches from the North Pole it will be late afternoon to early evening in our Sector. We anticipate Santa arriving to make his first deliveries sometime between 10pm and midnight local time.
Given that it is summer is some of the most populated areas of our Sector Santa traditionally holds off delivery until later hours.
This means everything comes a little late for us compared to other sectors – report requests come late, bedtime advisories come late and, of course, Santa himself comes later.
You will want to check in often for news updates and report requests.
Let’s see your best elf!
Attention all Elves: at the request of Santa himself, please take a selfie (if your parents are ok with it) in front of your tree, in your elf uniform (if you have one) or in your home tracking center and upload it as a photo submission report. Santa wants to see your smiling elf faces!
Again, this is for all elves in all sectors. Please send ASAP!!!
We will gather them and share them in a post sometime tomorrow on December 23rd both here and at SantaUpdate.com.
If you have issues using the report uploader for your email you can email it to st@elf.fyi.
Thanks!
Fellow Elves! We will begin the worldwide check-in process for working elves in 24 hours. We start with Sector 1 and move to Sector 5.
Please keep an eye on your Sector’s page. It should also post to the Elf Wall by Sector, just as any Elf Supervisor direction normally does.
Things are starting to pick up. It’s a good idea to be paying attention and checking the Sector page a few times each day, at least.
The check in process is NOT required. It’s just nice to do because it tells Flight Command you are on the job.
We are dealing with massive numbers of new elves. There are some problems because basic instructions are not being followed. Invalid email addresses are being used for tracker registration. Many new elves are not looking at the training material. Some just won’t commit.
We expected this, especially given the numbers we’re dealing with each day.
That is why the check in process is so important. It tells us you’re there, working, paying attention and following direction.
In a sector that has millions – like Sector 5 – only a certain percentage of those elves are going to do things that we need. We know this, we expect it. By checking in, we are better able to trust the information that is being submitted.
We have talked to the Elf Supervisors and North Pole Flight Command to ensure that only the most necessary information is asked for. We don’t want to over burden our hard working tracker elves with too many things to do.
Santa as well has directed that we keep things concise, specific and timely.
We will work to do so.
Have fun this week!
The Tracker Elf Conference is scheduled for this Saturday at 10am EST and it runs for two hours.
During these two hours we will hear/see presentations from the following Santa tracking experts:
As you can see, there are a lot of presentations to make. There will be a brief period after each presentation for questions. It would be helpful, however, if you could submit any questions you have ahead of time so that maybe answers can be put into the presentations (this saves time for everyone). You can submit them below:
[sform]1[/sform]Attention Elves of Sector 1 – we need a local Christmas report from you when you get an opportunity.
This report is an assessment of Christmas in your local area. We want your opinion on how you see the state of Christmas celebration right here you live.
This is a very important report for Santa and it may not be the last time he asks for this from our sector.
Please send it in as soon as you are able.
Thank you.
Elf questions and answers are the topic of a new Santa Trackers Podcast just posted by Elf Frank Myrrh.
There are many new tracker elves joining our ranks and they have questions. In this new episode we take a stab at answering a few of those questions.
This biggest question in this episode come from Elf Frankie in England: What do I do if I see Santa in my house?
Frank and Crash do not necessarily agree with how to best answer this question. Crash thinks Frankie should say something and Frank — well, Frank just can’t handle it.
This episode also features a special message from Elf Crusader about the care and feeding of Reindeer.
Frank and Crash also discuss how to help young, talent elves develop in their elf careers.
Santa Claus will address the 2021 Tracker Elf Conference it was announced during the Elf Supervisor chat held yesterday.
Santa wants to speak directly with those who will be tracking him in an official elf capacity. Attendance for this event is expected to be robust and there will likely be more questions for Santa than he will be able to handle. There may be a process set up so that Santa can answer the questions more efficiently.
The Tracker Elf Conference is an annual event to inform tracker elves of last minute instruction about Santa’s flight and the responsibilities of trackers. Other speakers have been selected for this event and the agenda for the conference will be released soon.
