The Locating Committee at Flight Command has submitted the list of ten finalists for the Regional Tracking Center location for Sector 1.
Last year’s HQ was located in Bethlehem, New Zealand.
Here are the finalists for this year’s location:
- Saint-Gabriel, New Caledonia
- Port Vila, Vanuatu
- Nadi, Fiji
- Holonga, Tonga
- Wiseman’s Creek, Australia
- Christmas Island, Kiritimati
- Leone, American Samoa
- Midway Island
- Gab Gab Beach, Guam
- Songsong, Rota, Northern Mariana
The final location is one of these ten places. Each of them have advantages and disadvantages.
The Locating Committee will spend the next two months doing specific site surveys in the cities listed and will issue their final recommendations to North Pole Flight Command by May 31st.
It is expected that a location will be chosen and announced during Christmas in July.
Thank you, Elf Randi. I’m okay which place will be our sector’s HQ. I have a question for you, how did you choose 10 places? Does every year different? Thank you!
I think these are the finalist candidates
Thank you, Elf Lachie. Okay, they’re the finalist. I hope they’ll choose nicer one!
