Elf Recruiting Starts Up

Elf recruiting is about to become a big deal, guys. I’ve been in a lot of meetings and there will be a lot of talk about this going forward. And I mean a lot.

It is a strange thing, if you ask me. It’s only June. Most people aren’t even thinking of Christmas. What’s more, Santa has not yet told us what our recruiting goal is this year. He usually does that in July, or at least he has for the last several years.

Maybe he will do it sooner this year. I do not really know. Everything else seems to be happening sooner this year, so why not Santa’s big announcement?

Anyway, regardless – getting new elves is going to become important.

How do you recruit new elves where you are? Well, that’s something we will be talking about for months. We know that no matter how hard we work it seems the most new-elf sign-ups happen in that last week before Christmas. That is not ideal. It means just a short period of training time for those elves who just sign up.

We know it is a much better experience if they sign up sometime before Christmas so they can get trained and have the fun that tracker elves usually have. But, it’s up to them.

Think about your friends. Think about your family. Heck, think about your parents. They need to become tracker elves, too. I’ll tell you right now it takes a lot more time for parents to train as tracker elves. So you might just want to start working on them now.

Keep an eye out from an elf named Flip Beanz. He’s a numbers guy. It’s his job to keep track of and to report on the number of tracker elves we have. I think his first report of the season is coming out in the next couple of weeks. He’ll tell us what the score is.

Also, your Elf Supervisor will be talking a lot more about this this year.

Flight Command On the Move

Flight Command is on the move, Elves. Heads up.

In the past couple of weeks we have seen flight command announce all the new regional tracking centers and they have informed us of the very first test flights of Santa’s new sleigh.

I’ve got it on good authority that there is a lot more news that will be breaking this week – well, really through Christmas in July. There is a LOT going on and it is going to impact us.

We will be doing some things different this year in regards to training. Over at SantaUpdate.com, and hear on SantaTrackers.net, where we have the availability of Kringle Radio year round, they will be re-broadcasting the Tracking Santa Around the World radio broadcast. But that is not all. At the same time, they will be adding tracking data to the map here at SantaTrackers.net. It will give you a good idea of what tracking Santa looks like on Christmas Eve if you’ve never been here before to see it.

In fact, there will be a number of announcements about tracker training and the map here on Santa Trackers will be a big part of it.

I’ve asked all Sector supervisor elves to begin posting new by sector starting at least with Leon Day and thru Christmas in July. That will help you to get to know them. All will be posting news here — and some may be posting in their groups.

All of this is being driven by news from North Pole Flight Command. You will want to bookmark that site and keep an eye on it for breaking news.

Thanks.

How to Get in Trouble as an Elf

Some have recently sent in the question “Where did Elf So-and-So go?”

Well, I’ll tell ya. You don’t see them on the Elf Chat or the Elf Wall or on the Elf Map because they got busted. They didn’t leave, they got busted. They broke the only real rule we have: BE NICE.

That’s just too hard for some elves.

I don’t know what more we can do to make it clear. You are taught it in learning the Elf Code. You swear to it when you take the Elf Oath. Elf Max has warned about it a couple of times.

Well, you know who the elf executioner is? Me. Elf Moe. Head of the North Pole Complaint Department. It always comes to me and, well, I’m an impatient elf.

This is how you get in trouble or get banned from being an elf:

  1. Boss other elves around.
  2. Assume you are an important elf and try to do jobs that are not yours to do.
  3. Brag you are an elf.
  4. Never take a shower. (Ewwwwww)
  5. Use bad words
  6. Be mean
  7. Lie
  8. Steal
  9. Cheat
  10. Pretend you are Santa
  11. Take the wings off flies
  12. Call other elves names
  13. Speak ill of the reindeer
  14. Use a hair dryer on a snowman
  15. Lick the frosting off of sugar cookies
  16. Set the Christmas tree on fire
  17. Use super glue in the Wrapping Department
  18. Litter from the sleigh
  19. Post bad pictures
  20. Say someone is on the naughty list
  21. Put salt in the sugar shaker
  22. Drink the last of the eggnog
  23. Stuff spiders in stockings
  24. Tell Mrs. Claus that Santa says she is fat
  25. Tease Rudolph

Now, guys, I don’t want to ban you and you don’t want to be banned.

But let’s make one thing perfectly clear: if you get banned you’re never coming back. It’s a one-way ticket. If you can’t act like an elf, you can’t be an elf.

I hope this is the last time this needs to be discussed. We have lost some pretty good elves recently who just could not be nice. It has nothing to do with Santa. In fact, Santa won’t even hear about it if I had my way.

He needs elves. But he needs people who are ready to BE elves.

Okay?

200 Days Until Santa’s Launch

Greetings, elves. Today officially marks the 200-day milestone in the countdown to Santa’s launch. We have just 200 days now to get the sleigh built, tested, and ready for Santa.

We also only have 200 days to get millions of Santa tracker elves recruited, trained and ready to track Santa around the world.

Shouldn’t be too much work.

We are off to a fast start. If you have followed along at NorthPoleFlightCommand.com, you already know that regional tracking centers have been set up in all five sectors.

That’s the earliest this has happened in history, folks.

So Santa is pretty serious about things this year.

Sector 1 is located in Bethlehem, New Zealand. Sector 2 is located in Demre, Turkey. Sector 3 is located in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium. Sector 4 is in Natal, Brazil. And Sector 5 is located in Christmas Island, Nova Scotia.

I share those locations with you because we’re soon to be setting up a tracking map for the test flights of Santa’s sleigh.

Those tracking centers will be clues to where Santa’s Sleigh will test first.

We’ll be making an announcement soon of where you might be able to see the tracking map for the test flights.

200 days to go! It’s coming up fast!

Sector 2 Regional HQ Announced

We are pleased and excited by the announcement from North Pole Flight Command today that the ancient city of St. Nicholas in Demre, Turkey will serve as the location for our regional tracking center in Sector 2.

In case you don’t know, Demre is the home of the legend of Santa Claus. It is where he was born. Not many people realize this.

I have not been there yet. This is a total surprise to me. I was part of the committee that scouted locations for this year’s tracking center in Sector 2. We went to China, India, Israel, Oman, and even into parts of Russia on our scouting trips. We saw many locations that would be excellent for a tracking center.

Rumor has it that Santa himself made this site selection. He was there about a month ago, talking with local authorities about potential locations.

Regardless, we now have a home. I am awaiting instructions from Flight Command about construction and possible dates for opening the tracking center. I will keep you informed as that happens.

Like most elf supervisors, I am waiting to learn why this is beginning so early this year and specifically what it means for the Santa tracking effort.

For those elves in Sector 2, please keep an eye open on the new group I set up last night. I will be posting news about our sector there.

Thanks!

Sector 2 is Now in the Red Zone

Ok, trackers. We’re a very big sector and that means getting requests out of our area can be a bit tricky. Those in the Far East of Asia are now in the Red Zone — it’s Christmas Eve for you.

But those of you out west in places like Israel, Jordan, etc…it’s still December 23rd.

We cover more time zones than anyone.

I know this means some of you out west will be up earlier and will work longer. Don’t be afraid to take frequent breaks based upon YOU time zone.

We’re now on the clock for real!
