Transit Report Needed

Elves of Sector 1, I send you greetings from Japan.

Flight Command is requesting a Transit Report from us as soon as we can provide it. They are trying to understand traffic patterns in every country. I think this will apply mostly to larger cities.

It is rare to get this kind of request. I’m guessing they want to know what might have changed since the last time Santa was there.

If you can send in this report, please do so. Here’s the link for it.

Thanks.

Mrs. Claus as a Santa Tracker

Every Christmas Eve the Claus residence houses the North Pole Christmas party. As each department completes their work they Claus home fills with elves who track Santa together. Nobody is more on top of where Santa is and what he is doing than Mrs. Claus.

Just as Elf Roger has always said, on Christmas Eve, we’re all Santa trackers.

Mrs. Claus, of course, wears many hats. She is Santa’s wife, partner and expert in all things that happen at the North Pole. Those who were here with us last year when Santa was on his worldwide walkabout saw how Mrs. Claus takes charge of things. She does that to help Santa and there isn’t another elf at the North Pole that Santa trusts more than Mrs. Claus.

Yesterday here on Santa Trackers we had an individual signup and pretend to be Mrs. Claus. That person lied and a lot of elves here believed that person was actually Mrs. Claus.

Elf Agent X has explained how that happened and how you can tell going forward if someone is who they say they are.

But I’m here to tell you why you may never ever see Mrs. Claus here on SantaTrackers.net.

First of all, there are many reasons why Mrs. Claus cannot be here. Time is one of the biggest reasons. We rarely see even Santa here and he has to work hard to find just a minute here and there just to come here to interact with you.

I’m Mrs. Claus’ Chief of Staff. Her job is so big she needs a whole team of elves to help her. As Chief of Staff it is my job to control who has access to Mrs. Claus and when she meets with people. Trust me when I tell you that Mrs. Claus was not on SantaTrackers.net yesterday.

Think about it. Does that make any sense?

Yesterday was Thanksgiving Day. Think about all that was going on here on Thanksgiving Day. The big meal, the Elf Parade, the Turkey Bowl, the Christmas light walkabout – when was Mrs. Claus suppose to find time to come to SantaTrackers.net?

No, that wasn’t Mrs. Claus.

But there are many other reasons why Mrs. Claus likely won’t ever spend much time here.

The Tracker Elf Community is run by Elf Crash. It is a sub-department of North Pole Flight Command, run by Elf Roger Star.

Santa and Mrs. Claus do not mix it up here much on SantaTrackers.net out of respect for those two very important elves.

They don’t want to add more cooks to the kitchen, so to speak.

In other words, they respect the space and authority of those who have charge over you.

Now, we know that all of you have a lot of interest in both Santa and Mrs. Claus. You want to get to know them, to ask questions, and to be their friends. They want that too.

That’s why they occasionally are featured in North Pole Chat at SantaUpdate.com. At least a couple of times each year they are there for that.

Santa, because of his job delivering to the world, has business here. And he will talk to you here sometimes as it relates to the work you have together.

But Mrs. Claus, unless she is asked by Santa to do so, or invited by Elf Crash or Elf Roger, wouldn’t just show up and start talking.

Please understand that. Please understand that even if Mrs. Claus had time to be here she likely would have me, her Chief of Staff, manage her account and organize her contacts. Mrs. Claus is a stickler for protocol. She stays within the rules, works by permission and honors the chain of command. She stays in her lane. If she ever showed up here it would never be like that fake person who claimed to be her yesterday.

If you have questions for or about Mrs. Claus, I’ll be glad to answer them for you.

I’m sure when the time is right we’ll hear again soon of another chat scheduled for her and Santa.

I just wanted to let you know this stuff.

Santa is on the Move

Elf Rolf beat me to it! I was on the call with Elf Crash as well. He’s asking elves in Sectors 3 and 5 to be on alert and to send in a weather report ASAP.

We don’t know the hour of Santa’s flight back to the North Pole. But we do know that Flight Command is going all kinds of crazy trying to get things lined up for his return.

This storm is dangerous. The landing will be the most important part of this trip.

We don’t know exactly where Santa is today. Have you seen him?

It’s clear, however, that his return flight to the North Pole later tonight will go through either Sector 3 or Sector 5.

Let’s support the effort to get him home safely.

Stand by for additional news or instruction today.  Anything could happen.

Thanks.

Elves on Alert Status

I just got off the phone with Elf Crash. He’s placing us on alert status.

If you’re available, please send in a current weather report.

I’ve been instructed to tell you that sleigh sightings late tonight will be very possible in our sector.

If you see something – if the weather allows – please report it.

This is not a drill. Santa is in the air.

Why Elves Get Banned

Santa has millions of elves. They live at the North Pole, and they live in different places all over the world. There are many kinds of elves. There are many jobs and purposes that elves have.

Here at SantaTrackers.net, we are tracker elves.

That’s it. That’s what we do.

Sometimes, a tracker elf might get a new job and do something else as an elf. Where that is and what that is isn’t our business. But here, in this community, we are all tracker elves.

That’s it.

You likely have a purpose here. Maybe you want to be an elf for life and do many things for Santa. Maybe you’re just here to help Santa get around the world.

For us, the elves who run this website, we have a purpose, too.

We are here to build elves. We are here to track Santa for Santa. We are here to help people realize their dream of being elves for life.

To do that, we have to stay focused on what we do.

Unfortunately, many “new” elves do not understand all this. They come here and they act like there aren’t other elves around. They don’t know there are people here serious about this.

They do stuff that is fun for themselves, but no fun for anyone else.

That is why, every year in November and December, we see a lot of elves come and go.

I personally dismiss them. I kick them out. I end their elf careers.

I snuff out any further chance they might have of ever working for Santa, of living at the North Pole, and of ever being an elf ever again.

I do it for one simple reason: they fail to read and follow the most basic instructions.

They fail to know what it is we do and how we do it.

They come here, whether they mean to or not, to distract others from doing what is right as an elf.

One huge distraction are people who come here to talk about their “Elf on the Shelf”.

No matter how many times we have explained it they do it anyway. They post pictures of that goofy doll and expect everyone else to endure endless talk about their personal elf.

A real elf knows this is nonsense. They know that a personal elf is not valid. The North Pole has nothing to do with this stuff. Read about it.

We have stated the rules plainly and talk about Elf on the Shelf in any way is not acceptable here because they have nothing to do with Santa, the North Pole or Christmas.

Whether you believe in them or not is not the issue.

Believe what you want. But our rules are plain. You don’t talk about that stuff here or you’re gone.

This is also no place to call out Santa.

There are places provided to send Santa a wish list. We even offer a way here for you personally to message Santa for whatever reason.

But you’re to do it privately.

Do not post it to the Elf Wall or you’re gone.

Why? Because it’s a distraction to others who are trying to do their job as tracker elves.

It’s very simple.

If you come to the Elf Community, learn and keep the rules.

Part of the rules of the Elf Community is to have a valid email address. It is needed to make the script running our website to work. We don’t send you email that is inappropriate, we send you email to make your account here work.

When you don’t have a valid email your account goes away automatically. I never see it. It gets deleted because it is necessary for us to remain legal about having accounts in the first place. It’s a simple instruction.

So too is the instruction to put “Elf” before your name. When you are here you are an “Elf”. That is an honored title. You should embrace that. Those elves who don’t take the time to do this get dismissed. It’s disrespectful to the rest of the community who has kept the rule. We give you time to do it. You can be helped. But if after a certain time you don’t get it together you’ll just disappear.

Good elves take instruction and follow it. Santa runs a tight ship. We do things his way, or we don’t call ourselves elves.

I’m banning dozens of new elves every day now. Sometimes hundreds, sometimes thousands. All because they do not care enough to learn, read and comply with what we’re all about.

A good elf is one who thinks of others first. It’s in the Elf Code.

There is no better way to demonstrate you don’t get that than to come on here to do personal stuff like Elf on the Shelf or trying to strong-arm Santa in public.

It’s rude.

I won’t stand for it.

If you’re going to be an elf, do it right.

Live the code. Keep the community standards.

It’s my job to keep this straight in the community. I will continue to do so.

What All Elves Should Be Doing Right Now

Hi Elves!

Crash here – if you are new and you don’t know me, my name is Elf Crash Murphy and I’m the International Director of Santa Trackers. We makes me, more or less, the Head Elf, YOUR Head Elf, your boss’ boss. In my humble way, I’m here to tell ya what to do.

Now, if you follow along at SantaUpdate.com – and you should – then you likely know me from my North Pole Radio News reports as that guy who follows Santa every Christmas Eve and gives out news reports. That’s my Christmas Eve job, and it makes me, well, some people like to call me, the Ultimate Santa Tracker.

Anyway, if you’re new and don’t know what to do, relax. We’ll get you trained. There are lots of elves here to help you.

Right now and for the next five weeks or so we will be getting lots of new elves. There’s always mass confusion because a new elf wants to do everything. They want to tell other elves what to do, they want every elf job out there and they want to ride with Santa on his sleigh.

Well, again, relax. Ain’t none of that is going to happen because you are a new elf. And you have to learn to be the tracker elf you are before you get to do any of that stuff.

So, relax! We’ve all been there. Once upon a time we were all new elves.

So what should you be doing? Glad you asked!

I got together with all the Elf Supervisors and made this list. I’m banning the posting of news until at least the first part of next week (Monday, November 25th), so that you can catch up with the following things:

  1. If you are a freelance elf, READ EVERYTHING. Then send in your first freelance elf reportIn that first report I want you to just give us a status on yourself and your availability to track Santa for Santa up until Christmas Eve.
  2. If you are a North Pole elf and a member here of the Elf Community here at SantaTrackers.net, I want you to first get your profile set. You should put the word “Elf” in front of your name on your profile. You should have an avatar that represents YOU. And you should have a cover photo, which is placed behind your avatar on your profile. There are lots of elves and tutorials on the site to help you get this done.
  3. Then, no matter what kind of elf you are, I want you to go read everything at Elf University. Learn your Sector. Figure out who your Elf Supervisor is. You are tracking Santa for Santa – that means you will be communicating with the North Pole through your tracker reports. Take all this really seriously and learn how to do it FAST.
  4. Find the page to Santa Tracker Radio – and listen to it. It’s great. On December 23rd you’re all going to be listening to it because that’s when North Pole Radio News broadcasts the Tracking Santa around the World radio show. It’s very famous and you’ll hear me on there now and then.
  5. Then go listen to a few past episodes of the Santa Tracker Podcast. New episodes will be coming out soon and you will need to know where to find them. The older episodes all have great information about how to be a tracker elf.

Now let me give you some stuff NOT to do:

  1. Don’t tell others what to do. Elf Moe is just itching to ban elves who don’t belong here because they get a big head because they’re an elf. We don’t do that. BE NICE.
  2. If you’re new, don’t even think of trying to get an additional elf job unless Elf Sandy Claus in Elf Resources says you can apply for something. Most jobs require a lot of points and at least one year of service. So if you’re new, you won’t get any of the jobs being posted.
  3. Don’t give up. Being an elf is not easy. Lots of other elves here will help you. You will get it and Santa needs you.

Ok, now let me just ask our veteran elves who have been here more than a year to do a few things:

  1. If there are new jobs posted by Elf Sandy Claus, please consider applying for them.
  2. Please help the new elves in everyway you can.
  3. Please help new elves you know to sign up at SantaTrackers.net. We need more GOOD elves.
  4. Participate in the Elf Parade next week by submitting pictures of your costume and how you dress up your bike, trike, scooter, etc.
  5. Make sure you are up to date on your reports.
  6. Watch the skies for flying sleighs. There are LOTS of them out there right now (watch the News at NorthPoleFlightCommand.com and SantaUpdate.com for more on that)
  7. Elf Supes are going to ask for pictures of your Christmas trees soon. Just a heads up.

Ok, you got questions? Ask them in the comments below.

Thank you, Elves.

Let’s Get It Together

Elves of Sector 5, both freelance and North Pole elves —

We’re getting swamped with new elf sign-ups, both of freelance and North Pole elves. I’m talking MILLIONS.

In an effort to get you all on track PLEASE do the following right away:

  1. Read this post from Elf Crash, International Director of Santa Trackers.
  2. Have a good home tracking center set up. We do not instruct how to do this. We just encourage you to stay organized.
  3. Send in a weekly weather report, either on Friday or Saturday. This is VERY important and it runs until Santa launches.
  4. Next week is Thanksgiving, and that’s when the Elf Parade is happening. If you’re decorating your own trike, bike, etc. we’re going to ask you post pictures.
  5. Things are about to go crazy, Christmas and Santa’s launch will be here before you know it. If you can check in every day.

If you can attend the scheduled chats, please do so. There will be more chats scheduled, including one with me at some point soon. If you have times/days that are best for you, don’t be afraid to leave that in the comments below.

Are you paying attention? Have you been to Elf University? Do you know your job as a tracker elf?

Let’s pay attention!

Local Christmas Report Needed

Is it Christmas out there where you are?

I want to know about it. Tell us about the Christmas you see where you are. Take pictures and send them in.

I may ask for this report several times in the next few weeks. You should be seeing signs of Christmas by now.

The Local Christmas Report is found at this link.

I appreciate your efforts.

Public Observance Report Needed

Elves of Sector 2,

Flight Command and North Pole Security are both advising us about some disturbing information coming out of Southeast Asia.

It would behoove elves in all areas of our sector if they are able to send in a public observance report as soon as you can.

Santa often reminds us that the central message of Christmas is peace. Is there peace where you are?

Don’t be surprised if we don’t follow up on this with a Local Christmas Report sometime in the coming weeks.

But for right now please get out there wherever you are in the sector and tell us what you see of the general public and then send in a Public Observance Report.

Thanks

Weekly Weather Reports Needed

It is time to begin weekly weather reports from all areas of Sector 3 effective immediately. It does not matter what day of the week you do them – for now – but I’m told the steady drip of regular reports are needed to help in flight planning. Weather data in our sector is matched with sleigh performance data from the test flights and some how that stuff matched together gives them a good idea of what to expect when Santa flies.

Speaking of Santa’s sleigh, I’m told the test flights of Santa’s sleigh will be over Sector 3 at least one more time before Christmas. As I get more details of this I will let you know.

We welcome new elves in the Sector. If you have not been here to respond to previous requests, we are looking for a chimney inspection and a roof report from your area first.

More to come soon.

Getting Verified

As Elf Max has mentioned, we have been taking a look at Elf verification, what it means and how to get verified as an elf.

Most new elves want to become verified right away. We understand that.

But for verification to mean something for elves new and old, we need to explain it. This information is so vital that we’re placing it in Elf University. We want it to be part of your elf training.

That is because most new elves in their first year will NOT get verified.

Why? Millions of people come here wanting to be elves. But they come and don’t participate in anyway and never come back after their first year as an elf.

In other words, they really aren’t serious about being an elf.

So why waste time verifying them?

Please read this page if you want to become verified.

Verification is not something you ask for or apply for any more. It is a designation your Elf Supervisor gives you. It means you are legit. You are trusted, as an elf. And only elves who do their part will ever get verified.

Questions? Ask in the comments below or on the Elf Wall.

Thanks.

Elf Status Update Needed

Hi Elves,

A couple of things for you today. First, I’m asking for an Elf Status update from each of you again. It’s been about two months since I last asked for this and we have had SO MANY new elves sign up that I feel I need to ask for it again.

You can get to that report by clicking here.

Be aware that in the coming weeks I’ll be asking for an Elfie Selfie from you. I realize most of you don’t have your Christmas tree up yet so I’ll wait until around Thanksgiving to ask for that. I want to see your smiling elf faces! So, just a heads up.

Finally, after a lot of arguing with North Pole Security I can finally post this picture of me, taken in an auxiliary office here in St. Nicholas. They really obscured a lot of detail for whatever their reasons are. Don’t mind my hair – this was pre-coloring recently. It’s even more pink now.

Elf Pinky

Haha.
