The Elf Supervisor Meeting was held on December 5th, 2021. The chat transcript is posted below:
Elf Max | Hi all – our chat will begin at the top of the hour. |
Elf Pringles Jingles | alright |
Elf Hannah | Hello! |
Kyle Lorenzo | Heyo! |
Elf Hannah | Wow, lots of people online. |
Elf Max | We will not have Elf Clif from Sector 2 with us today. We’re having technical difficulties in Turkey |
Elf Max | But it looks like all of our other elf supervisors are here |
Elf Max | We will begin in about two minutes. |
Elf Max | Be thinking of the questions you want to ask your supervisor |
Elf Max | Ok guys, let’s begin |
Elf Max | First of all, an announcement |
Elf Max | Tomorrow, or even today, all sectors are now ACTIVE |
Elf Max | That means the tracking centers are all “live” with the North Pole |
Elf Hannah | Alright! |
Elf Max | And all sectors will begin to send instructions to Santa Tracker Elves out there. |
Elf Max | In anticipation of this, we have arranged for trackers to meet their elf supervisors today |
Elf Max | To speak to them directly |
Elf Crusader | Hello |
Kyle Lorenzo | Hi |
Elf Hannah | Hello, Crusader |
Elf Max | If you have a question, please state your elf name and your sector so we can direct it to the right supervisor |
Elf Candy Cane | Hi everyone! |
Elf Crusader | Hello Hannah |
Elf Max | Ok, so who has a question? |
Elf Crusader | Elf Crusader sector 5: |
Elf Max | Ok, Crusader. Go ahead. |
Elf Hannah | Elf Hannah Sector 3 |
Elf Candy Cane | If Santa doesn’t come to your house what does that mean? |
Elf Crusader | Does this mean we start sending Santa reports? |
Elf Candy Cane | Oh right I forgot, Elf Candy Cane Sector 5 |
Elf Pinky | Yes, starting tomorrow I will be sending a report request to trackers in Sector 5, Crusader |
Elf Crusader | And also, Santa missed us last year, does this always happen? |
Kyle Lorenzo | Hello, my elf name is Kris and I am in sector 5. I have a question about the bedtime warnings. Will I be still held to it even while working at my job on Christmas Eve? |
Elf Crusader | Ok got it ! |
Elf Pinky | Elf Candy Cane, not my department. If Santa doesn’t come that’s something that would go through SantaUpdate.com |
Elf Pinky | Bedtime advisories are exempt for those who are working in critical roles. |
Elf Crusader | Crusader, sector 5: how often is Santa in a persons house? And why? |
Kyle Lorenzo | Ok thanks for the answer Elf Pinky! |
Elf Crusader | How often does Santa miss a person’s house? |
Elf Candy Cane | All right, if we have to send reports around 12. pm how would I do that if I go to school? |
Elf Crusader | Sorry, I need to let other people ask questions |
Elf nic | elf nic sector 3 how are we for recruitment numbers are we on track or do we need more effort in sector 3? |
Elf Pinky | Crusader, not my department. We track Santa where he is going, not where he has been. You’ll need to talk to someone in Delivery Services to find out why Santa doesn’t come. Santa does not go to every house and there are a lot of reasons for that |
Elf Crusader | Ok thanks |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Sector 3 recruiting is ongoing. We NEED a LOT more elves |
Elf Pringles Jingles | Hi! |
Elf Pinky | Reports are sent in when you can send them in. We will not be putting in a time they are due |
Elf nic | Are their any specific methods you recommend for recruiting? |
Elf Hannah | Elf Hannah sector 3 What country in the sector is most on track and which one needs the most work? |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Recruting can happen in a number of ways. One on one, on social media, talking before groups, etc. |
Elf Crusader | Crusader sector 5 last question from me: Where does Santa stop first? |
Kyle Lorenzo | I am not a supervisor but I think it’s sector 1 Oceania? |
Elf Rolf Janssen | In Sector 3 Germany is doing very well and leading the way. Most middle African countries need a lot of help. Some Internet issues there though |
Elf Pringles Jingles | Elf Pringles sector 5, where even is the north pole? |
Elf Crusader | Oceania? As in the pacific? |
Elf Hannah | And I know languages are an issue in a lot of countries as well |
Elf Pinky | Santa goes in order from Sector 1 to Sector 5. But where he stops first in each sector is up to Santa |
Elf nic | elf nic sector 3 are we going to be assisting the air lift with reports this year weather, air traffic etc |
Elf Crusader | Good luck getting an answer Pringles, I think the poles exact location is a secret |
Elf Randi Hume | Sector 1 is my Sector. We cover the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand, all of the Pacific Rim |
Elf Pringles Jingles | It doesn’t hurt to ask |
Kyle Lorenzo | ‘@Elf Crusader: Yes sir |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Nic, your reports are used by all flights originating from the North Pole, not just Santa’s sleigh |
Elf Crusader | Of course not Pringles, I meant no harm in what I said |
Elf Candy Cane | Ahem, I really shouldn’t be asking this but.. Is it okay to at least *take a tiny peek* at other trackers? |
Elf Pringles Jingles | Elf Pringles sector 5, where even is the north pole? |
Elf Max | The location of the poles is no secret. It’s at the pole. How much more clear can they make it? |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok |
Elf Crusader | Thank you for clarifying max! |
Elf Pringles Jingles | Is there a way to go there? |
Elf Pinky | No. Do not look at other trackers. We need your attention on Santa and the job we have to do. |
Elf Hannah | elf hannah sector 3, What are some challenges our sector is/will face this year? |
Elf Max | If you can catch a sleigh or have your own plane with enough fuel, of course you can visit the poles |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok |
Elf Rolf Janssen | In Sector 3 the biggest problem is getting folks to sign up early and get trained. |
Elf Pringles Jingles | think maybe I could boat there? |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Once we get elves on board they seem to catch on pretty quick |
Elf Candy Cane | Ok thank you, I won’t even search them up! |
Kyle Lorenzo | How does Santa deliver the presents if the Chimneys have no opening for him? |
Elf Hannah | Alright, I assume that’s generally the problem for all sectors |
Elf Crusader | After Santa launches, is it too late to send a wish list? |
Elf Randi Hume | You cannot get to the North Pole in a boat |
Elf nic | elf nic sector 3 while staying away from other trackers is their any external software you recommend us using such as weather radar systems |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok |
Elf Crusader | Can you handle extreme cold Pringles? |
Elf Pinky | It’s never too late to send Santa a wishlist…unless it’s December 26th or he has already been to your house |
Elf Pringles Jingles | if i have a coat then yea |
Elf Pringles Jingles | i think |
Elf Candy Cane | I imagine the north pole would be something like Antartica |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Actually, when it comes to the weather a lot of trackers cut and paste info from various online weather services a lot. We do NOT want you doing that |
Kyle Lorenzo | Given how it is at the north pole, are you willing to deal with frostbite levels of cold Pringles? |
Elf Pringles Jingles | does anyone in this chat live at the north pole? |
Elf Crusader | The north pole is -16 below and maybe more as far to my knowledge |
Elf Rolf Janssen | We want you looking out YOUR window and telling us what you see |
Elf Crusader | Without proper warming equipment, you would freeze |
Elf Pringles Jingles | yea |
Elf Candy Cane | When I was little I thought Antartica was just a place full of icebergs and glaciers, with no Civilication. |
Elf Crusader | No. I live in sector 5 |
Elf Randi Hume | I live at the North Pole a few months each year. |
Kyle Lorenzo | That’s not normally the case since scientists do go there for research purposes on the biological wildlife in Antarctica |
Elf Pringles Jingles | Elf Randi Hume how did you get to go there? |
Elf Crusader | When I give a report, I usually do it by things I see, Not things I see on the Internet |
Elf Randi Hume | I take a sleigh back and forth |
Elf Randi Hume | I’ve been the elf supervisor in Sector 1 for six years |
Elf Pringles Jingles | how did you get the sleigh to come? |
Elf Randi Hume | But my home is actually at the North Pole |
Elf Randi Hume | The sleigh department takes care of it |
Elf Hannah | elf hannah sector 3, Is there a currency at the north pole? I know it says somewhere that elves are paid with cookies, but how are houses and stuff paid for? If a new elf came to the pole, where would they stay? |
Elf Rolf Janssen | The currency of the North Pole is sugar cookies |
Elf Pringles Jingles | So could I ask them to bring a sleigh to me? |
Elf Randi Hume | If an elf needs a house he or she puts in an order at the Workshop, they send a team |
Kyle Lorenzo | Even for paying bills? |
Elf nic | elf nic sector 3 is their going to be a transcript available of this chat |
Elf Hannah | So essentially it’s free |
Elf Crusader | I like your enthusiasm Pringles, but I don’t think it’s that easy |
Elf Randi Hume | You’ve got to be a level three elf to get a sleigh |
Elf Pringles Jingles | 3 stars? |
Elf notJack | Elf notJack sector 5 – I’m a new tracker this year and I was wondering if it’s a simple job? As in it’s easy to catch on quickly? |
Elf Randi Hume | Nobody pays for anything at the North Pole |
Elf Crusader | So, what level is an Altair elf? Do we get sleighs |
Elf Hannah | How does one become a level three elf exactly? What jobs are listed in that margin? |
Elf Pinky | Notjack, it is fairly easy to be a tracker elf. There are plenty of people here to help you |
Elf Pringles Jingles | Wait Elf Randi Hume do you mean level 3 in stars? Because if you do then i am 4 stars so i might be able to go |
Elf Candy Cane | I think when I was little I watched too much christmas movies. |
Elf Max | Altair Elf is a SantaTrackers.net designation. Has nothing to do with the North Pole |
Elf Hannah | Yeah, if you have questions you can definitely get answers |
Elf Crusader | Exactly Pinky! I’m always up for helping new elves! |
Elf Randi Hume | Level three is elf supervisor or above. All others at the North Pole usually don’t need sleighs |
Elf Hannah | Okay. |
Elf notJack | Okay thank you! |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok |
Elf Crusader | Got it! |
Elf Hannah | So, just to make it clear, someone just coming to the north pole would be picked up in a sleigh and moved into a house fairly easily, no pay. |
Elf Max | I don’t know exactly how it works because I’m not at the North Pole either. But I think you have to live at the North Pole to even become a level 3 elf |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok how do i become an elf supervisor? |
Elf Candy Cane | When we watched the polar express in 2nd grade, I took my bell home and I sat on my bed at night ringing the bell over and over again. |
Kyle Lorenzo | Does Santa come by in these chat events sometimes? |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok how do i become an elf supervisor? |
Elf Randi Hume | To become an elf supervisor takes a LOT of years. |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok |
Elf Hannah | I don’t think you can really, you’d have to work really really really hard and even then it probably isn’t possible, Pringles |
Elf Randi Hume | It took me about 46 years. And I’m a young one. |
Elf Crusader | Rarely, Santa is usually busy. Sometimes he makes a surprise appearance |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok |
Elf Candy Cane | But anyways, what if our parents say we can’t leave Cookies on the table or Milk? |
Kyle Lorenzo | Ah okay |
Elf Crusader | Sort of wish he would show up on here |
Elf Pinky | Please do as your parents ask. Santa will understand |
Elf Max | Um….shall I tell them, guys? |
Elf Tubby Ryder | Yes, tell them |
Kyle Lorenzo | Candy Cane, maybe try to sneak it in with the reindeer food? Depending on if the cookies get eaten by the reindeer before then |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Definitely tell them |
Elf Crusader | I never got a complete answer to this question: a friend of mine may have seen Santa |
Elf Hannah | What is it? |
Elf Crusader | When asked about elf crusader, Santa said he knew me |
Elf Max | Don’t give the reindeer cookies!!! |
Elf Crusader | And this was in Minneapolis |
Elf Crusader | Max, I don’t think a lot of people have heard my podcast about the reindeer |
Elf Pinky | Santa was in Minneapolis recently. I talked to him by phone |
Kyle Lorenzo | I’m kidding! |
Elf Crusader | So, I’m guessing that was him |
Elf Max | I don’t think they want to know |
Elf Hannah | Minneapolis? Crusader is probably right about seeing Santa then |
Elf Randi Hume | Maybe not |
Elf Tubby Ryder | They want to know this, TRUST ME |
Elf Hannah | Max, what is it that you want to tell us? |
Elf Crusader | I guess I was. No doubt about it then, Santa was up here. That’s interesting, considering it was one of his first stops |
Elf notJack | I want to know |
Elf Pinky | Yes, NotJack – you DO want to know |
Elf Candy Cane | Yes, tell us max!! |
Elf Hannah | Santa was here in Germany (not near me) too |
Elf Max | Ok. Santa is coming for the Tracker Elf Conference. Exclusively for Tracker Elves |
Elf Crusader | Spill the beans max!!! |
Elf notJack | I think I want to know… |
Elf Hannah | Yay! |
Elf Candy Cane | :O |
Elf Pinky | That could be one messy chat |
Elf Crusader | Wooohoo! |
Elf Pringles Jingles | LETS GOOO |
Elf Rolf Janssen | He really wants to talk to you guys |
Elf Hannah | Yesss |
Elf Randi Hume | Yes, HE will have instructions for you |
Elf Crusader | I guess it safe to confirm that it was sent in Minneapolis that My friend saw! |
Elf Candy Cane | I had SOOO much questions for Santa last year.. |
Elf Hannah | Thank you guys for arranging that |
Elf Max | Seriously. That’s big news guys |
Elf Hannah | Thank you so so much. |
Elf Crusader | I’m guessing it’s safe to assume that it was actually Santa that my friend saw |
Elf notJack | Yay! |
Elf Max | Ok, any other questions, elves? |
Elf nic | what type of instructions will he have |
Elf Candy Cane | That’s AWESOME!!! @Crusader |
Elf Pinky | What Santa will say is unknown to us. |
Elf Max | Yes, you should know that Santa himself asked to address the conference. |
Kyle Lorenzo | What kind of disguise does Santa use when moving about the general populace? |
Elf Hannah | Yes, I have one, but it probably can’t be answered- How do elves at the north pole live a lot longer than people who aren’t there? |
Elf Candy Cane | Who is in charge of Knowing why Santa didn’t come? |
Elf Pinky | Santa wears shorts, sunglasses and flip flops when he travels in public |
Elf Hannah | Kyle Lorenzo, I know he shaves his beard |
Elf Max | Moe might be able to answer that question, Candy Cane. |
Elf Hannah | He shaved his beard last walkabout |
Elf Crusader | I have a question, has anyone seen or heard back from elf moe. I received an email from him about a special assignment assigned from Santa concerning delivery to my house |
Elf Pringles Jingles | wait how do i say something in the sleigh department? |
Kyle Lorenzo | Oh that I would have never expected him to do XD |
Elf Pringles Jingles | or like how do i get in the department |
Elf Randi Hume | Elf Hannah – it’s the dry climate and clean environment. Elf lifestyle is generally very healthy, too |
Elf Hannah | Cool. I thought it wasn’t possible to live past 120 |
Elf nic | thank you very much for the chat but i am going to have to leave early i will see you all in the tracker conference |
Elf Max | You can contact the sleigh department (or any department) via Elf Ernest or Elf Hugo of the North Pole Post Office |
Elf notJack | Healthy? Don’t they consume A LOT of sugar? |
Elf Randi Hume | Elf Hannah – you’re thinking that time at the North Pole is the same as it is everywhere else. It is NOT. |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok thank you |
Elf Pinky | A lot of sugar IS healthy |
Elf Hannah | Ohhhh I know what you mean, it meets at all the different time zones |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Bingo, Hannah |
Kyle Lorenzo | How do North Pole Elves deal with the phenomenon known as the Midnight Sun? |
Elf Crusader | If any of you See moe around, please let him know |
Elf notJack | Try telling that to my parents… 🙁 |
Elf Pringles Jingles | how would I contact elf ernest for him to get back to me asap? |
Elf Tubby Ryder | North Pole elves wear sunglasses, use sunscreen and draw the curtains a lot during the sunny season |
Elf Hannah | Wow, that’s some cool science. The north pole is awesome |
Elf Max | Good luck getting hold of anyone at the North Pole in December, Pringles. |
Elf Pringles Jingles | lol |
Elf Max | Ernest’s email is ernest@elf.fyi |
Kyle Lorenzo | That’s really interesting! Thank you Elf Tubby Ryder! |
Elf Hannah | Elf Pringles, just message him here. He’s really active considering he posts news every day |
Elf Crusader | Quick question: what time does Santa actually leave the pole? I want to make sure I tune in at just right time |
Elf Pringles Jingles | ok elf hannah! thank you |
Kyle Lorenzo | Try to watch your local news Crusader, they also have santa tracking updates live too |
Elf Crusader | And just for reference: I live in the central standard time zone in the United States |
Elf Hannah | Oh, sorry, I posted that but didn’t read the before messages |
Elf Pinky | For those in Sector 5, Santa leaves at 1am EST on December 24th |
Elf Max | So midnight your time Crusader |
Elf Crusader | So Midnight |
Elf Max | The countdown clock is real time |
Elf Hannah | Nice to meet you guys |
Elf Crusader | Thank you pinky and max! And that would be the time I would need to start tracking correct? |
Elf Max | FYI, Elf Ernest posts daily at SantaUpdate.com. I post the news generally here on SantaTrackers.net |
Elf Candy Cane | My time is eastern time.. So is that gonna be like 1: AM? |
Kyle Lorenzo | Is there a time when Santa gets to sector 5 after launch, Elf Pinky? |
Elf Max | Crusader – you’ll be tracking Santa long before that. |
Elf Pinky | Yes, there will be a lot for Trackers to do before Santa launches |
Elf Pinky | From Dec 21st onward, we’re on the clock |
Elf Crusader | Of course max! I love my job! |
Kyle Lorenzo | Ok thanks |
Elf Candy Cane | Amazing! That’s so good to know! |
Elf Max | Ok, guys. We’re over time now. Any last questions? |
Elf Crusader | Max, can you let the radio team know that I want to be interviewed Christmas Eve night? |
Elf Tubby Ryder | Yeah, I gotta go |
Kyle Lorenzo | Goodbye! |
Elf Hannah | Santa launches 7:00 AM in germany |
Elf Crusader | Thank you all for your answers! |
Elf Crusader | Merry Christmas! |
Elf Max | Max, yeah, I can tell them…but that’s a worldwide broadcast – 133 countries last year |
Elf Hannah | Wow, this was really fun! |
Elf Candy Cane | Merry Early Christmas!!! |
Elf Hannah | Thanks for clarifying some questions |
Elf Crusader | Holy Toledo that’s a lot! |
Elf Max | So much will be going on at that time. You’ll see |
Elf Crusader | Merry Christmas elves! Love and blessings to you all! |
Elf Rolf Janssen | Bye guys! From Belgium! |
Elf Pringles Jingles | See ya guys! Have a good day! |
Elf Max | Bye Rolf. Thanks! |
Elf Candy Cane | Merry Crimus* Guys! *Me and my friends say crimus* as a short way to say Christmas |
Elf Pinky | Ok, see ya! |
Elf Hannah | I’m super excited for this year, goodbye! \ |
Elf notJack | Thank you for answering my questions! Bye everyone! |
Elf Randi Hume | Happy trails! |
ELF Santa tracker with 5 elfs | DANG IT DID I MISS THE MEETING?! |
Elf Max | See you all later! |
I finally realize just how much unimportant questions I actually asked. 0-0 (lol)
