It is time to update what it means to get verified as a tracker elf. As with many things in the elf world the verified designation as an elf is changing.

The first question this brings up is usually from elves who are already verified. They want to know if they will have to reverify to the new standards. The answer is no. If you are already verified you stay verified.

To get verified now will take more time and require more from you as an elf. Also, getting verified will not be something you apply for – it will just happen when your Elf Supervisor says so.

What does it mean to be verified?

To be verified really means you are trusted as an elf. It is a sign of a good reputation both here in the community, at the North Pole and most especially at North Pole Flight Command.

How is your verification used?

You might be known here through the Elf Wall and among your elf friends. But elves working at the Regional Tracking Center or at North Pole Flight Command might not know you well. If they read one of your reports and want to know if it is to be believed they may come here and look at your profile. They will be looking for that verification check mark. The verification check mark is a sign to them that you are trusted.

Steps to getting verified:

1. Fill out your profile completely. Put “Elf” in front of your name. Have an avatar and a cover image on your profile.

2. Get in some service time as an elf. The longer you are here on a consistent basis year-round the higher your stock rises in the elf community.

3. Send in good reports. Some elves sign up, come here, have fun – and then never do anything to actually help Santa. Elf Supervisors know which elves are actually good elves.

4. Stay active. Log in at least once a month, more frequently if you’re able. Active elves who stay in the community get verified most frequently.

5. Help others and grow your points. Your points are an indicator of your loyalty as an elf to the community.

Millions of believers come here with dreams of becoming an elf. They mean will. But some can’t be around all that often or they just don’t want to do the work. This site is used to staff elves at the North Pole. Those elves at the North Pole once were tracker elves like you. They started here.
