Heavy Weather

Heavy Weather Flights to Be Tested

Hey gang – I just received word that Sector 5 will soon be the location for the first heavy weather test flights of Santa’s sleigh. We believe these test flights will begin in about 10 days to 2 weeks.

That gives us more time to recruit weather tracking elves in our sector.

Of particular focus will be the American Southwest, where seasonal monsoonal moisture typically arrives in early August each year. Additionally, far Northern Canada above the Arctic Circle will also be the scene for test flights focused on cold and frosty conditions.

We may even see some test flights centered over the North Atlantic and, later during the month of September, over the Gulf of Mexico as hurricane season arrives.

These diverse locations will require the time and reporting skill of weather tracker elves. Please let me know if you are interest.

About this Elf: Elf Pinky Verified Elf Santa's Council Member Sector 5 Elf Supervisor
Elf Pinky was recruited from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1992 and has since served as an instructor in sleigh flight theory at the North Pole Institute of Aviation. She worked very hard to earn her elf credentials, working a second shift first as a tool repair technician in Santa’s workshop and then as an engineer in the Wrapping Department designing wrapping machines. Pinky in recent years was a recruiter and trainer of sleigh test pilots and flies under the call sign Barracuda. Last year she served as a Flight Operations Director and demonstrated outstanding judgment and maturity in her duties supervising more than 400 elves, pilots, reindeer handlers and sleigh freighters.

Thank you, Elf Pinky, for sharing this. You and the team will test flights under heavy weather. Please sleighs and the reindeer flight safe, and I hope the weather tracker elves will be a lot to help them by nice reports. I think the Weather Analyst in the sector, Elf Weather Tracker will work actively! I’ll continue to pay attention to it. Thank you!
