Chat with Elf Roger Star Re-Scheduled

Due to a technical conflict and a request out of Sector 3 the chat with Elf Roger Star has been moved from Sunday to Tuesday.

The chat, titled “How Tracking Santa for Santa Works”, will be held at 12pm EST. That time is in the evening hours in Sector 3 and a request came in via Elf Rolf to hold the chat then. It might be a little early for Sectors 4 and 5 but some might be able to make it, especially school teachers who might want to be involved.

The chat is the first in a series of chats designed to give basic information from North Pole Flight Command for newer elves.

The chat will be archived and made available online for those who cannot attend.

We appreciate your understanding for this change.

How Tracking Santa for Santa Works

Millions of Elves Recruited Since August

The total elf count as of today reflects more than 69 million elves so far for tracking Santa this Christmas.  Santa set the goal at 200 million tracker elves before he takes flight. Here is how each sector fared since August:

Sector 1 – +4.8%
Sector 2 – +3.1%
Sector 3 – +0.9%
Sector 4 – +2.0%
Sector 5 – +21.0%

Total – +8.8%

Sector 5’s astounding growth in North America accounts for the largest increase – again. Elves in North Pole Flight Command say teacher response to efforts made in August during the start up of school is a big reason why Sector 5 added so many elves.

“You do not have to be a genius to understand that every school teacher brings about 30 student elves with them and possibly another teacher or two,” said Elf Jordan Rivers, a recruitment specialist in the Department of Elf Resources. “I think that will continue to add more elves than just about any other effort we make out there over the next couple of months. We want classes of all grade levels. We want to help teachers teach geography and math and science, heck, even history, through Santa tracking. We will host chats for them, answer letters directly from the North Pole, create support materials for lesson plans – whatever they need. That’s our work between now and when Santa takes off – to invest in all the learning that can come from tracking Santa for Santa.”

North Pole Flight Command reminds trackers everywhere that Santa’s lofty goal will likely be met in the last four or five days before Santa’s launch. That means the number might feel far-fetched to elves tracking Santa now. But the goal actually is much closer than most realize. As of today, right now, a total 130,335,899 more elves are needed. That feels like a lot – and it is. But the number of elves we have right now is actually ahead of where we thought we would be. It is going very well.

Opportunities really exist in Sector 3, which had the smallest increase of all sectors in the past month. While the numbers there are a little short of where we want them to be North Pole Flight Command feels this sector will be one of the brightest last minute surges that are expected.

Please keep up the fine work of recruiting, elves!

Elf Chats to Increase

Elf chats for the month of October have been updated on the Elf Calendar. The first of these chats is actually this Sunday.

The chats are coming in response to a very heavy increase of site visitors to North Pole websites, especially SantaTrackers.net. The elf recruiting numbers are slated for update tomorrow. Along with the increase traffic both North Pole Flight Command and the North Pole Post Office have seen very large increases in the amount of mail and questions being sent in.

The chats being scheduled are to be held here on SantaTrackers.net and they are specifically for tracker elves. In the meeting held today I was told that Santa really wants a focus on new and experienced tracker elves alike.

Santa believes not only the increased number of elves are important this year but their knowledge is important too. So these chats are being held to help with elf training.

The chats below are just the beginning. There will be many more events to be scheduled for November and December:

When Should Chats Be Scheduled?

When should chats be scheduled?

That’s the question we are asking ourselves right now before we announce a series of chats upcoming with senior elves from North Pole Flight Command. We want to make these chats available to as many people around the world as we can.

Based on most current data available most elves using SantaTrackers.net are coming from Sectors 3 and 5, which is to be expected considering that this site is based in the English language. But time zones vary widely between North America and Europe, so we want to make the chat schedule in such a way that every elf has the opportunity to participate.

So we are asking for your feedback before announcing these chats.

Please fill out the information below to help us gather the data that we need. We know we cannot devise a perfect schedule and we are willing to have some of the elves scheduled for chats at several times, repeating sessions if we need to based on demand. We will collect data for five or six days before we announce the first chat events. You can expect a full schedule of chat events based on questions we receive over the next couple of months.

Thanks in advance for your help with this:

Santa Launches in 100 Days

Santa launches in 100 days, elves. My friends, this is a significant milestone.

We have less than 100 days to get 150 million more elves and to get them all trained.

Of course, you’re here now. You’re already an elf. You’ve taken the oath and know the code. You’re ready to rock.

So what should you be doing?

First, make sure you are informed. Read all the training materials. Then jump into the elf community here to ask your questions. Be on the lookout for chat events and special elf meetings that will be upcoming in October, November and December. You want to be the informed elf.

Second, talk to your family and friends about becoming elves, too. It might feel weird at first. You may get teased. But you will find that as we get closer to launch time people become believers. They will turn to you for advice. Plant those seeds now. It gets easier.

Third, watch that Santa tracker to see where the test flight is. It is good training for when you watch Santa. I can tell you right now that watching Santa is very different from watching a test flight. He moves a lot faster. But getting in on the test flights now will help you later when the real deal happens.

I’m not much of a communicator. I leave things here pretty much to Elf Max. But do get in the habit of watching the news from NorthPoleFlightCommand.com and SantaUpdate.com. And do not forget to listen to North Pole Radio News and the Santa Tracker Podcast. They will show you the way.

And if you have ideas, for goodness sakes, please share them in the elf community.

Fellow elves, awake! There is a new podcast out! I know the news has been a little slow of late but you’ll be happy to know that Frank and Crash have been in the studio talking reindeer and they think you should be talking reindeer, too. You can listen to the latest episode of the Santa Tracker Podcast at this link.

I’m glad they are talking about this. I’m glad I’m not the only one.

I’ve been working with a number of tracker elves who are a little discouraged about elf recruiting. Many are bringing it up at school and they report getting teased in some cases and even bullied by some. Talking about Santa and elves and Christmas in September can be hard.

If that’s the case for you then this episode may help you.

I haven’t seen yet what the September numbers look like but I can tell you I hear nothing but positive things about the recruiting. You guys are doing good work. So there’s nothing to be discouraged about.

I find it interesting in this episode as well that Crash talks about some of the places that Santa is going in the world right now, just because he’s got many of his reindeer back.

Take a listen to it!

School Teachers Flock to SantaTrackers.net

Over the course of the past two weeks we have seen several new sign-ups from school teachers. While it has been our experience to see this happen every year we have never seen such a large response as we are seeing this year.

“I think what is happening is that in many places around the world teachers are heading into a 2nd season of the pandemic.” said Elf Roger Star, International Director of Santa Trackers. “Some are again having to use virtual learning tools and environments in order to teach students. The art of the Santa Tracker online is especially suited to learning. Students learn geography, time zones, and a bit of history as Santa trackers. We are excited because each classroom we work with has the potential to bring us lots of new elves.”

Elf Lindy LaRoo, a special elf who works as a teacher ambassador at the North Pole, indicates that growth is especially strong in middle school age groups so far this year. She has been on the phone or in email contact with a number of teachers trying to serve their individual needs. “We have a long time until we can actually track Santa,” Lindy says. “But between now and Christmas we can help teachers design work that helps with math and science or social studies. It just depends on what they are already planning to do. Middle Schoolers love the Santa-theme math word problems we can come up. Figuring out things like how long it takes Santa to get to Tokyo from, say, Sydney.”

Teachers themselves frequent sign up to be elves on their own, too.

Welcome, School Teachers

Hello everyone! My name is Elf Lindy LaRoo and I am an Elf Trainer serving as an ambassador to a special group of elves – school teachers!

Between this site and SantaUpdate.com we frequently are contacted by and work with school teachers. My job is to customize your experience.

We work with school teachers to customize lesson plans, arrange contact with key elves at the North Pole (including Santa and Mrs. Claus), and to develop new site features that are useful in the classroom.

We also work with homeschool teachers and educators in every country at every level. Whatever your needs are, we are here to serve.

Tracking Santa should not only be a fun experience, it should be a learning experience!

Now that many schools are back in session we are beginning to hear from teachers and students everywhere. I am posting today to remind you I’m your elf! Feel free to reach out to me via private message right here on SantaTrackers.net or via the form below. Thanks!

Elf Count Update for August

Greetings, Elves! Good news! We have great recruiting action going on. Here is our updated count of elves for August:

Sector 1 – 8.5 million – +15.2%
Sector 2 – 3.3 million – +2.7%
Sector 3 – 18.2 million – +4.6%
Sector 4 – 11.6 million – +2.3%
Sector 5 – 22.3 million – +17.4%

Total Elves – 64.0 million +9.5%

These are outstanding results, especially from Sectors 1 and 5. I think we knew Sector 5 would be strong but that is an exceptionally great number.

Our Freelance Elf count increased by 6.2% but our North Pole Elf Count increased by a whopping 20.2%

We only need 136 million more elves! That’s a fantastic report!

Your Elf Supervisor may update your sector with even more detailed information. Keep up the good work, elves!

North Pole Announcement Coming

Elf Ernest just posted a change to the scheduled North Pole Chat for next weekend and curiously mentioned something about an announcement coming soon.

North Pole Chat Schedule Change

I have not heard of anything. That means this could be big news. I’m not an important elf and I know of many announcements before they happen. But this one must be top-secret because I haven’t heard a thing.

More importantly (I think), the North Pole Chat for August has been moved up a day from Sunday to Saturday. I don’t know why they would do that, especially since this chat has been on the calendar all year.

So maybe something is up.

This chat is a general public chat (not just for elves) and it will be held over at SantaUpdate.com.

I will try to ask those I know what is going on and maybe we can schedule a follow-up chat here for elves either Saturday night or sometime on Sunday. I’ll keep you posted.

Santa Decides on Just One Tracker Elf Conference

Another Tracker Elf Conference has been scheduled before Santa’s flight. It will be held here on SantaTrackers.net on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10am EST until Noon EST. The conference agenda and assigned speakers will be announced at a later date.

With the high number of new elf recruits expected this year it was debated if more than one conference was necessary. After hearing from a number of lead elves from various departments Santa decided to hold just one conference on the date mentioned above.

“It was a difficult decision,” Elf Roger Star, International Director of Santa Trackers said. “We know there will be millions of elves who will sign up between December 18th and December 23rd, and they will miss the conference. But a goodly number of the elves we will have on board for Christmas will be ready and we feel December 18th is a good time to hold the meetings.”

Details of the Tracker Elf Conference are pending. You do have time right now to help shape the agenda of the conference by providing your suggestions for topics to be covered and personalities from the North Pole you want to hear from. Visit this link to provide your input.

As more details become available for this Tracker Elf Conference we will, of course, update you right here.
