Tracker Elves FAQ

Yes, YOU can become an elf. Right here. Right now. Just click here to sign up.

Below are some of the most common questions we receive.

The Tracker Elf program at the North Pole is now better than a decade old. For many years we operated the open Elf Community online via SantaTrackers.net. After years of effort we have changed that approach to strengthen the security of the community and to improve the elf experience online.

An elf’s life is about giving. It is what Santa does.

In our case here we support Santa’s Sleigh, an online community outreach effort to help families in need at Christmas. Please visit SantasSleigh.org for more information. All proceeds gathered through SantaTrackers.net supports that effort.

Santa wants to improve the skills of elves of all ages. Young elves are more than welcome at SantaTrackers.net.

Our rules stipulate that underage users must use the site under the direct supervision of a parent or guardian. In fact, Santa has long advocated that parents and children track Santa together.

Please be aware that minor users who behave outside the rules will be expelled without appeal.

The Elf Community is public to all enrolled elves. There are no messaging or private contact options between users, although elves who administer site functions can be contacted. All communications are monitored.

Being an elf takes time and work. Most North Pole elves working in Santa’s workshop or with Santa’s reindeer, at the North Pole Post Office, in Wrapping, at the Sleigh Department or North Pole Flight Command began their careers as tracker elves. Most spend many years in that capacity before moving on to other elf jobs.

Part of the purpose of the Elf Community is to help you progress.

Tracker elves are given training via Elf University, which is part of the Elf Community.

Most elves – and even Santa himself – are “regular people”.

Anyone out there can be an elf. There are many school teachers, warehouse workers, doctors, parents, airline pilots, policemen, and other skilled everyday individuals who are also elves who work for Santa.

Santa does not expect you to give up your life just to be an elf. Being an elf supports a good life. You will learn that as you go along.

It’s also important to remember that your work as an elf is not as important as your family life. Your family always comes first. We work hard to balance your elf life with other parts of your life.

Please contact us about that. We may not have your old login or data but maybe something can be done to get your elf life back.

Those sites are great but they are not associated with Santa or the North Pole. Think of them like newspapers or TV channels – they are independent journalists who report on Santa.

We are based at the North Pole. We are elves. We work for Santa. That is the source of all our information.

Big difference.

A tracker elf can use Norad or Google or other trackers out there – but they aren’t from Official North Pole resources.

As long as all users keep the rules, yes – courtesy accounts are an option. Just reach out to us.

We are especially interested in supporting teachers, youth group leaders, homeschoolers, and other education or church-based communities. Santa is all about service and most times such organizations are too.
